Jessie's Well Blog

Day 50

Day 50
October 27, 2015

If you’ve been reading this blog as I have crossed the country you will know that I have spent many days with Mr. H. Wind.  These last few days he has had a contemptuous relationship with Patricia resulting in very difficult riding conditions for me.  I headed out this morning to gusting head winds of 20 mph for the entire morning.  I was determined to make Tallahassee by lunch time which I did and Marilyn joined me there.  At one point I came upon the first mileage sign for Jacksonville and had to stop to take a photo.  It was hard to imagine that I was getting that close to my final destination.   My route took me through the FSU campus and the downtown area.  Finally as I was about 10 miles east of Tallahassee the winds began to subside.  I had long talks with Mr. Wind and he has agreed to move on from Patricia and leave me alone for the last two days.  In fact, if predictions hold true he might even help by shifting direction.  We’ll wait to see if that happens.  As you can tell, I’ve been riding too many long hours by myself in the wind!!

On a more important note, many of you saw my post on Facebook from last night about our new friends, Josh and Aaron Dudley.  As Marilyn and I sat down for dinner last night there was a knock on the door of the RV.  When I opened the door we were greeted by a young couple who was staying near us at the campground and saw the graphics on our vehicle.  They had looked us up on the Web and read about Jessie’s Well and Water Cycle.  Josh and Aaron are followers of Christ and newly married.  They believe God may be calling them into full time ministry but for now believe they are to wait upon Him.  So they are busy with their volunteer ministry and work.   So having learned about Jessie’s Well they felt led to bring a box of Bibles that we would have an opportunity to distribute them.  We enjoyed a short time of fellowship and prayer together and will look forward to see where God would have us use these Bibles.  We will also be looking forward to seeing where God chooses to use Josh and Aaron.  With great confidence I know He will.  It was a wonderful closing to an otherwise frustrating day of bad weather and poor riding conditions.  God is so good!
